Hello BA:
I wanted to respond to your recent letter regarding Kristy Everett's
attendance at Texas Tech School of Banking. Kristy is an exceptionally
bright individual that we have entrusted with the loan review function
at the bank. She has done an outstanding job and has received many
compliments from regulators at exam time regarding the quality of her
reviews. Kristy is well educated with a Finance degree and further
having received her loan review certification through BAI's two year
loan review school. While these accomplishments and accolades are
exceptional for such a young person, Kristy has spent many hours of
the day sequestered in her office concentrating on the task of loan
review to achieve her proficiency and expertise.
But the time required to develop her skills and perform her tasks has
not left her with much opportunity to be exposed to other areas in the
bank that could help her develop further into a more well rounded
individual and leader within the bank.
This is where the Texas Tech School of Banking helped fill the void that
Kristy was not able to get while working at the bank. Kristy and I have
had several discussions about her learning experiences at TT and it is
evident she has become a more rounded and mature banker. The bonus, as
you and I remember, is she has developed numerous friendships that have
evolved into important resources that she uses frequently to help in her
decision making all the while building her confidence and developing
leadership.
I am grateful to those of you that take of your time to devote to the
support of the school so that bankers like Kristy have the opportunity
to mature and become leaders in our industry. For Town and Country Bank
this has been one of our best investments.
Thank you,
Jim
B.A. Donelson:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the opportunity
to attend the Year 2 program at the Texas Tech School of Banking. It was
a very productive and educational experience. I particularly enjoyed the
Year 2 simulation and learning about a bank's balance sheet with respect
to the income statement was very interesting and informative. I must say
the entire program proved most beneficial in many ways. There are many
things I learned that I have incorporated in my day to day duties here
at PointBank and as a result I would recommend the program without
hesitation to anyone individual in banking.
Thank you again for providing such an informative, useful, and enjoyable
forum to expand my knowledge of the banking industry.

"Kristy Everett is an exceptionally
bright individual entrusted with the loan review function a
the bank, but she had not had much exposure to other areas
of the bank that would develop her into a a more well
rounded leader within the bank. Through her learning
experiences at the Texas Tech School of Banking, she has
become a more confident and mature banker. She has
also developed friendships that have evolved into important
resources for Kristy herself, as well as Town and Country
Bank. For Town and Country Bank, this has been one of
our best investments!"
